Statement of Faith

There is only one true God. He is the creator of the universe, its Ruler, Preserver, and Redeemer. God is infinite in all things, which is reflected in His Name: Jehovah. He is triune in the form of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and, as such, He is eternal with all the characteristics of God. In His Incarnation, He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.

His death on the cross, by voluntarily taking upon Himself the sins of all humanity, provides mankind with a means of reconciliation to God thereby redeeming man from sin. He was raised bodily from the dead on the third day and appeared to His disciples and others before ascending into heaven where He now sits at the right hand of God interceding for all of God’s children. He will return to Earth in glory and power at a time God determines is right.

We believe He liveth to make intercession for believers; and His personal, visible, imminent, pre-tribulation, pre-millennial return to the Earth at the end of this age. Salvation is the redemption of man and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord, who freely took upon Himself man’s nature and by His death made full atonement through His blood for all sin. We believe that all who by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the Holy Spirit and a new nature, and that they also are anointed with the Spirit and by the Holy Spirit baptized into the body of Christ.

Church History

The South Buckhannon Mission Church was founded in 1934 in a reclaimed coal company power house that was purchased from the coal company and relocated to Randolph Street to serve the citizens of that community.
